HAUS AUS GLAS SOUNDTRACK is out

The series HAUS AUS GLAS (aka INSIDE A FAMILY) aired on Arte and ARD and is still availble on the channels’ online platforms and the soundtrack album is coming out today.

A drama series with comedy and thriller elements, this well written and well-acted show wasn’t easy to approach and I would like to thank everyone who helped me find the right tone, from the director Alain Gsponer to the Music Supervisor Christoph Becker, but also the editors, producers,….

The score aims at capturing the excitement of a wedding allied with the troubles of a family failing to reunite. The orchestration is sometimes quite classical, with a string quartet, a clarinet and a flute on almost bossa nova rythms, and sometimes electronic, edgy, textural and dissonant.

So many thanks to the director Alain Gsponer for such a nice and close collaboration and for guiding me through the series and encouraging me to experiment as well as improvise on the pictures.

Thank you to music supervisor Christoph Becker for his trust and ideas that truely inspired me.

Many thanks to the producers Constanze Guttmann and Kerstin Schmidbauer as well as WRD-Redactor Henrike Vieregge, Götz Marx and Max Rüdel from Constantin Film for their great support, nice discussions and help in releasing the soundtrack album.

I would also like to thank my agency Strike A Score for being there as always from the beginning.

Many thanks to orchestrator Michelino Bisceglia for his perfect job in such a tight schedule.

Thank you to the Dada Studios in Brussels and their fantastic musicians team hired by the one and only Mark Steylaerts.

I would also like to thank score mixer Christoph De la Chevallerie for his great work in mixing strings, woodwinds and electronic in such a pleasant atmosphere.

The album now available on most online platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Youtube, Deezer...

THE WINDOW SOUNDTRACK is out

The series THE WINDOW is now available on many platforms including Sony AXN in Germany and Streamz in Belgium, and the soundtrack album is coming out today

Composing the music for a football-themed show focused on behind-the-scenes elements presented a unique challenge and creative opportunity. In order to capture the excitement of the game, I decided to blend the raw energy of rock guitars and drums representing the adrenaline-fueled nature of football with the emotional depth of an orchestra to enhance character experiences and magnifying the stakes.

The result is a dynamic and emotionally resonant soundtrack accompanying the viewer through the series' unfolding off-field stories and numerous unexpected plot twists.

My first thanks go to producer Rolant Hergert (Boogie Entertainment GmbH) and co-producer Sebastian Schelenz (Velvet Films) as well as Executive Producer James Payne for the great collaboration and their trust in my vision of a score blending rock guitars and an orchestra.

Thank you of course to directors Adrian Shergold, Claudia Garde and Pieter Van Hees for their exciting ideas on integrating the music within the episodes.

Thank you and congrats to Robert Franke (ZDF Studios) and Taka Hayakawa (Fuji Television) on bringing forth such an emotionally compelling and thrilling series.

I would also like to thank my agency Strike A Score (how appropriate!) for their great support as always throughout the project.

Many thanks to my friend and orchestrator Ruben De Gheselle who brilliantly supervised the making of the orchestral parts from the scores to the recording sessions.

Thank you to the musicians of the Budapest Art Orchestra and East Connection Music Recording with whom it is always so easy and rewarding to work with.

I would also like to thank score mixer Rémi Barbot from Obsidienne Studio Paris for his great work again in combining sounds in such a dark and edgy atmosphere.

Thank you to the additional musicians Jens Maurits Bouttery (drums) and Yves Gourmeur (piano) for their superb performances.

Last but not least, many thanks to Air-Edel Associates and in particular Chantelle Woodnutt and Joe Fleet for releasing the soundtrack!

It is now available on most online platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Youtube, Deezer...

DELITS MINEURS (MINOR OFFENSE) SOUNDTRACK is out

The series is now airing on Swiss TV RTS, before arriving soon in other countries.

Co-author (with Jacqueline Surchat) and director, Nicole Borgeat tells the story of a few teenagrers who has to deal with the law. They are followed by a judge (Marie Gillain ), an educator (Noémie Schmidt) and an police inspector (Assa Sylla).

Thus the series is about making connections, and that's also what my music strives to do. Not judge but understand, contextualize, nuance. The common love that Nicole and I have for the clarinet, the cello, the music of Carter Burwell but also a certain form of sonic experimentation led us to create a bittersweet soundtrack, both tender and realistic.

It is now available on all major digital platforms:

A big thank you to Nicole Borgeat for the rich and close collaboration, as well as to the producers Britta Rindelaub (Alva Film) and Julie Esparbes (Hélicotronc) for their trust!

Thanks to Valerie Dobbelaere and Barbara Persyn from my agency Strike A Score for their great support, to the marvelllous solo musicians Freya Bovijn (clarinet), Jolien Deley (cello) and Mirek Coutigny (piano) as well as to Görkem Ağar for copying the scores !

Finally, a big thank you again to Mikael Carlsson for the tracklisting and mastering of the album

The Soundtrack Album of my original music for the DOCUMENTARY ‘the red orchestra’ is now available online!

Considering its recent string of documentary releases, MovieScore Media launches its new

documentary-focused sub-label called Reality Bytes. The sub-label intends to release the

best and most interesting documentary titles on the market, where both the topic of the film

as well as the quality of the score merit further attention. The inaugural title of the new

sub-label is The Red Orchestra with music by Eloi Ragot.

Written and directed by Carl-Ludwig Rettinger, the movie re-examines the story of the Red Orchestra: the most

important resistance network in Nazi Germany, whose operations extended from Berlin and

Brussels to Paris. The album features Eloi Ragot’s score recorded with the Budapest

Symphony Orchestra and coincides with the premiere of the film in Germany.

"I first thought working on a WW2 documentary was a bit tricky because of the sheer scope

of the story”, said Eloi Ragot. “But Carl-Ludwig Rettinger pushed me to be as near as

possible to the characters, their feeling, their ideas, their love affairs, and especially one of

the main founders of the Red Orchestra, Leopold Trepper.

That led to the decision to have a

rather small-sized orchestra, with piano as well as cimbalom, a Hungarian instrument. It

brings to me this Eastern and 'film noir' sound and its bounciness underlines well how bold

and courageous the members of the organisation were.

I based many musical themes on

rhythms and ostinatos to reflect the way those people were always on the move in order not

to get caught. Also, some electronic and in particular Moog synth pads and percussions

were a perfect match to the many images of the films shot in the 70s about the Red

Orchestra and help bringing a modern view on the events."

The Soundtrack Album of my original music for the new Sci-Fi TV Series UNSEEN is now available online!

The OST album to Belgium's newest supernatural series UNSEEN - currently airing on RTBF - is now available via MovieScore Media!

The score was almost entirely written during the first lockdown last Spring, a situation that has definitely influenced me. When preparing this soundtrack album, I noticed that most of the melodies are based on patterns with repetitive notes and recurring dissonance. Those darker sounds seem to go around in circles and - at the same time - evolve very slowly.

The 8-episode series, created by Marie Enthoven and directed by Geoffrey Enthoven tells the story of how, over the course of ten days, the inhabitants of Creux are confronted with a mysterious phenomenon as some of them become invisible...all are faced with a moral choice: is their invisibility a power or a handicap? What remains of our humanity when no one can see us anymore?
